Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Talk Ink. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Talk Ink governing your access to and use of the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Talk Ink (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Talk Ink is a macOS voice-to-text dictation application that transcribes your speech and optionally applies AI-powered text editing. The App works across all macOS applications using system-level text input.
3. Account and Subscription
You must create an account to use Talk Ink. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
Talk Ink is offered as a subscription service. Pricing, trial periods, and billing terms are described on our Pricing page. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Use the App to process content that violates applicable laws
- Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or rate limits
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell access to the App
- Use the App in any way that could damage or impair the service
5. Intellectual Property
Talk Ink, its design, code, and branding are owned by Talk Ink and protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal or professional purposes.
You retain full ownership of all content you create using Talk Ink. We claim no rights to your transcriptions, dictation, or any text produced through the App.
6. Third-Party Services
Talk Ink uses third-party services to deliver its functionality, including transcription and text processing, authentication, payment processing, and infrastructure. Your use of Talk Ink is also subject to the terms and privacy policies of these providers.
7. Disclaimers
Talk Ink is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that transcription will be 100% accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free.
We are not liable for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in transcribed text. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all output before use.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Talk Ink shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any part of it at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
